Well, let me say that Highland park has many bushes/trees to throw up your breakfast next to, or in...as does Memorial bridge, a random picket fence and sides of stone walls. I don't know what's better, eat and have stuff to leave on these items, or don't and dry heave everywhere. But I'm not complaining, pain is only temporary. It was once said "Pain is weakness leaving the body." As one of my class mates pointed out, the man who said that is probably dead. I'll push through, there is no giving up. I love the job so far, all though all I've really done is shred paper (unbelievable amounts of paper, approximately 20 40-gallon garbage bags a day) and enter in citations into the computer. And, of course, there's been the physical training side of it. I surprised myself on day one. Did ok, but not great. And today I felt as if I was going to die. Rough day, brutally rough day. Of course, I'm sick and can't shake the sickness and that never helps when your doing 50+ pull-ups and who knows how many push-ups and ab exercises.
Tomorrow night, we'll be out doing "Blue Santa." A retired officer dresses in a blue santa suit and we hand out toys to the children in the hospital. A great time to give to the community we will one day serve and to make the kids day a little better. Next week: I am with Patrol doing ride-alongs, nutrition classes, Law-Fit testing and a brutal day on Thursday. The Academy officially starts December 15, so wish me luck. More to come

Switching to the Blue Team
It's finally official, I am leaving the sheriff's office and switching to the blue team. I start with the Roanoke City Police Department on December 2, and the academy starts December 15. This has been coming for a very long time, and I'm very excited to be making the switch. I am not excited, however, about running any distance in this 30 degree weather we've been having. But, the good news is when I'm done with this school, I'm done with it all. No waiting around to see if I am going back to another academy as I have been doing with the sheriff's office. I hate having to leave my friends, give up the SWAT team and losing the seniority I have, but this is for the better. I have always wanted to work as a patrol officer, and actually perform the law "enforcing" side, rather than be a baby sitter for grown adults. I will make updates throughout the academy, letting everyone know where I am at, what I am learning, and just keeping in touch.

Halloween
On Halloween we had a small gathering at our house. We assumed we would have tons of Trick-or- Treaters but we were wrong. It was still a fun night. The Creasy's, Sink's, and my brother Sterlie had tons of fun eating pizza and playing rock band. Peyton was an adorable princess but her glitter was getting everywhere so she stripped down to her diaper.... I am not sure which was cuter! For

disarm you with smile
ok, so I saw this on Ryan and Lindsey's blog and thought I'd post it and maybe get some people guessing...
Rules:
Step 1: Put your music player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line (or so, some are hard) from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what SONG AND ARTIST the lines come from.
Step 4: Italicize the songs when someone guesses correctly (No lyric hunting! That is cheating!)
Step 5: After doing the 1st 20, listen to one more random song and post it as your title.
By the way, this is my music, not Megan's...
1) These streets are as cold and wet As my eyes, flesh and bones are longing home
2) Give me something that I can believe
3) All of my sincere apologies have been redirected unto you
4) Breathing in the same sequence while trying to make sense of your situation
5) It's alright, there come's a time, got no patience to search for peace of mind
6) The lights go out and I can't be saved, tides that I've tried to swim against
7) Reveal to me the mysteries, can you tell me what it means?
8) I gave you all the love I've got I gave you more than I could give, Gave you love (It's a cover-song, but partial credit if you name the original artist)
9) She scratches a letter into a wall made of stone
10) Sharp disaster in a fresh new coma, was it worth it when it was over
11) Death valley queen where have you been since they crowned you in glory, filled your head with dreams
12) It's easier to run, replacing this pain with something numb
13) Someone please turn the lights back on I’ve been wandering here for days
14) All eyes on the system placed before you, no time for an explanation
15) There's a familiar progression to similar lives that we all lead
16) It was an evening I shared with the sun to find out where we belong
17) spokes of the merciful forms are no more, whose force is irascible under black skies?
18) Milk it for all it's worth, make sure you get there first
19) Tonight I'm tangled in my blanket of clouds, dreaming aloud
20) Where I come from isn't all that great, my automobile is a piece of crap
Well, there really wasn't but one heavy metal song that came up...so if anyone gets #17, good job.
Good luck...

Cammy and I

Katie and Cammy (my favorite)

She thinks she is a baby!

I like your face!

Just playing

A cute shirt from my Nana
This summer I have had tons of quality time with my little girl :) She is the sweetest dog ever! Cammy has grown up so much .... she is starting to be very well behaved and has finally mastered the art of being house trained. This comes just in time for our new carpet. We have also practiced crate training.....this did not go over well. I will miss her when school starts :(

Baltimore Trip

Here we are, dry and happy at the game!

Wet at the game...Brandon thought of bringing ponchos, see how smart he is!
However, as you see here, he was to cool to wear it correctly!

A very unattractive fish

Camden Yards ... Very nice

I hate sharks...........
Brandon and I went to Baltimore this past weekend for our anniversary. Here are all the fun things we did:
1) Went to the Aquarium and saw a dolphin show
2) Saw an Orioles Game....some of the time in the rain
3) Spent way to much money at countless malls :) We found the Oakley store and the Oakley Vault, needless to say Brandon was a happy man!
4) My favorite part was eating at the Cheesecake factory *yummy *
Summer Begins
This month was filled with tons of things...here is our "June List"

Sweet Peyton
This post is around a month late...sorry we had camera difficulties! Peyton Danielle Creasy (our beautiful niece) was born April 25, 2008 to Heather and James Creasy :). She was 7 pounds and 10 1/2 ounces of pure adorableness. She is already growing so much. We are so excited to have her here! Uncle Brandon is smitten with her already. (Watch out he is going to spoil her rotten :)).

Update time
I just wanted to do an update, and let everyone know I go for my oral review panel for Sergeant on April 10 @ 1100. Wish me luck...
Brandon
P.S. The demon dog ate our new rug. She was only left alone for an hour and a half. I might as well just give her my cash to eat, it would be easier.
